About Us
Alaw Therapeutics is a biotechnology company committed to transforming resistance management in oncology with selective, brain-penetrant precision therapeutics. We develop differentiated small-molecule medicines designed to address cancers where treatment resistance, limited CNS exposure, and narrow therapeutic windows restrict the effectiveness of current therapies.
At Alaw, we combine AI/ML-enabled discovery with oncology drug development expertise to design target-specific therapeutics optimized for potency, selectivity, drug-like properties, and brain penetration. Our platform integrates proprietary discovery and development datasets, advanced machine-learning models, docking, virtual screening, scaffold hopping, and predictive ADMET modeling to accelerate the path from rational design to clinical development.
Alaw is advancing a focused pipeline of selective cell-cycle therapeutics. Our lead program, AL-605, is a selective brain-penetrant CDK2 inhibitor currently in Phase 1 clinical development for CCNE1-amplified solid tumors, including ovarian, endometrial, gastric, esophageal, and triple-negative breast cancers. Our second program, AL-433, is a nominated selective brain-penetrant CDK4 inhibitor designed for RB-intact, CDK4-driven cancers, including tumors with p16 loss or Cyclin D1/CDK4 amplification.
Founded in February 2024 by Torrey Pines and OrbiMed, Alaw Therapeutics is building a new generation of precision oncology medicines designed to overcome adaptive resistance and expand treatment options for patients with difficult-to-treat solid tumors, CNS tumors, and brain metastases.
